Weight loss meal ideas

27.01.2022

Weight loss can be a very confusing thing. You probably have the same dish or food all over again, and you feel like you're going nuts.

But it doesn't have to be like this. It can be fun and delicious!

How, you're asking? With this simple, easy, quick and oh-so-yummy meal plan!

BREASKFAST: Healthy pancakes

Sure, you can make the version with only egg whites and protein powder, but it is just pure protein, which means it lacks the nutrients needed for a proper, filling meal. Instead, blend 1/2 banana, 3/4 cup oats, 1 egg and 1 egg white, a pinch of baking powder or soda and a splash of milk and get flippin'. Top with low-fat Greek yogurt. This way, you get the protein, plus some extra fiber and fats! (and some taste LOL)

SNACK #1: Energy bar

You can choose from a wide range of store-bought energy bars, such as RX bars, but why not make your own? It's saving you money and forgiving you of the burden of hidden harmful ingredients, not to mention it gives you the possibility to customize them. My protein bar recipe, that you can find here on my blog, only requires simple ingredients, such as oats, nuts and seeds, and absolutely zero protein powders. Perfect for snack time!

LUNCH: Hummus toast

Does a quick, easy and yummy lunch that's loaded with protein sound unreal to you? Well, it is in fact possible! Slam some hummus (preferably homemade) on a whole-wheat toast and you're good to go. Pair it with other vegetables like tomatoes and avocado or even leafy greens like spinach and kale, so you can enjoy the endless benefits of nature's gifts. For a boost of protein, complete this meal with boiled or poached eggs.

SNACK #2: Tuna salad

This is a perfect, flavorful snack that's packed with protein and healthy fats. Drain canned tuna (or salmon) and mix with Greek yogurt and spices, toss some chopped veggies and and enjoy! It will keep hunger at bay for a long time,. while also pleasing your taste buds.

DINNER: Chocolatey Greek yogurt with fruit and granola

Now that you've satisfied your savory cravings, the sweet tooth kicks in. What to do? Whip up this dreamy, delicious and full of chocolatey goodness Greek yogurt bowl stuffed with fruit and granola. The thing is, you can do it in minutes! Mix some cocoa powder with Greek yogurt (I know it sounds off-putting, but trust me, it's worth it), add honey or maple syrup, and top with whatever your heart desires. Besides the fruit and granola, you can add nuts, seeds, or dark chocolate chips ('cause there's never enough chocolate).
